Official Post from CPSP Officers

Dear CPSP Community,

We are believers in the covenant and we have a commitment to clarity, truth, and collegiality to each of you, which is why we write today.

A recent message circulated by the former General Secretary (now referred to as General Secretary Emeritus) has raised concerns and confusion across our community. While we honor his past service, it is important to clarify that under the 2025 CPSP Bylaws, the role of General Secretary no longer exists. As such, any claims of authority, appointments, or declarations made under that title are not recognized by CPSP’s current governance structure.

The Transition Team referenced in his message was not appointed by him, but rather formed by the Governing Council to address longstanding structural challenges. Their work—culminating in the ratification of new bylaws on April 9, 2025, and the affirmation of new officers on June 29, 2025—was conducted with transparency, legal integrity, and broad consensus. These decisions are valid, binding, and reflect the will of the CPSP leadership and community.

We must also address the misuse of CPSP’s email system to promote personal agendas. The recent message was not authorized by the Governing Council and does not represent the official position of CPSP. We ask all members to refrain from mass communications that bypass established channels and risk further division.

CPSP is governed by deliberative consensus, not unilateral declarations. Our covenant calls us to mutual accountability, thoughtful dialogue, and shared leadership. We remain committed to these principles and to the work of healing, rebuilding trust, and moving forward together.

We invite all members to engage in this process with integrity and care. We are officers of the Governing Council, which will continue to provide updates and opportunities for dialogue in the weeks ahead.

With gratitude for your commitment to CPSP,

Rachel Greiner, President

Garrett Bugg, Vice President

Noel Gray, Treasurer
