Responsible for the operation of the Pastoral Care and Faith Relations Department, supervising daily activities of the staff to insure the spiritual support for patients, patient family members, medical staff, and hospital employees throughout the entire health systems (BMC-Jackson, BMC-Yazoo, BMC-Attala, BMC-Leake, Clinic Foundation, and Health Foundation). Must exemplify the Health System's mandate to contribute to our Christian healing ministry. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. A Master of Divinity (or its equivalent) accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States. A Doctor of Ministry degree preferred.
Experience: Five years of clinical chaplaincy in a healthcare setting beyond board certification and two years of clinical chaplaincy administration experience.
License/Certification/Registries: Board Certification with either the Association of Professional Chaplains or the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. Must be in good standing with certifying agency. Must be already endorsed by faith group endorsing agency.
Skills: Ability to operate various equipment pertaining to the administrative operations of the department such as computers and the software programs associated with the department's functions.
